Stud Services
Our stud males represent some of the best genetics in the UK and are critical in our own breeding programme producing show-winning, healthy alpacas with fine, dense fleeces in a variety of colours.
We offer an experienced and professional approach to our stud services and our ultrasound equipment ensures that we can keep a careful eye on developing pregnancies and can offer our clients complete assurance that their returning females are pregnant.
Our stud services can be purchased in three ways:-
On farm matings:
Owners leave their females with us. Residency is usually for around 60 days as, at this time, we are able to see a firm pregnancy using our ultrasound equipment.

Drive by matings:
For those who do not wish to leave their females with us. Owners can bring their females to the farm, observe the mating and return home. Spit-offs and pregnancy testing are then the responsibility of the owner.

Although we will endeavour to provide the very best of husbandry for all the animals on our property, we will not accept any liability for loss or damage to the client’s animal.
The service provider reserves the right to use veterinary services as required. All veterinary costs incurred including, where applicable, pregnancy diagnosis, will be met by the purchaser.
Pure Alpacas provide a guarantee of a live cria, on the ground for 30 days, or a free return mating under the same terms as this agreement. If the cria is live on the ground we will need a veterinary certificate showing that the death could not, reasonably, have been avoided. No other guarantee is offered.
Delivery and collection of females may be available but this will be through separate agreement. All costs incurred in relation to the servicing must be paid in full prior to the return or collection of the animal.
All females must have been wormed within 3 months and at least within one week prior to the delivery for service. The purchaser of the stud service must ensure that any animal is healthy, in good condition, has no more than one years growth of fibre and makes a full declaration of any suspicion or case of bTB, BVD, coccidia or any other infectious disease or parasite on their premises. We reserve the right to trim the fleece around the rear of the female to be bred if it is considered too long for safe mating.
